You've been offered a place! Hooray! What happens next?
I’ve been offered a role somewhere else, can you please tell me the outcome of my application?
First of all, congratulations on receiving a graduate offer – that’s an amazing achievement! If you wish to find out about the status of your application before deciding on which offer to take, please contact your graduate recruiter as they’ll be the best person to speak to.
If I’m made an offer for the Telstra Graduate Program, can I start early?
We love your enthusiasm, but as our program is designed so that all our graduates move through the program as a cohort, everyone starts at the same time.
What salary do you offer graduates?
In dollars and cents, Telstra graduate salaries reflect those of other major graduate programs in Australia. But we reward our team in many other ways as well. Take a look at the impressive range of rewards and benefits

When does Telstra make graduate offers?
From May onwards, you can expect to be discussing offers with us. Of course, we’ll keep you updated at each stage of the process leading up to that point. And remember, not all offers are made on the same date.
Where would I be based?
Although we do have positions in almost every major centre in Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra) most roles will be based in Melbourne and Sydney. Regrettably, not all locations will offer programs in all disciplines so be sure to talk to your recruiter about relocation options.
Why does it sometimes take a while to hear back about my application?
Every year, Telstra is fortunate to receive thousands of applications. To assess each one fairly we do ask for your patience. Your graduate recruiter will keep you updated as they’re able to at each stage of the selection process. You can also check for updates on Facebook
Will there be a position for me after the Graduate Program ends?
One of the things that makes our Graduate Program so great is that you’re a permanent employee from day one! Once you near the end of the program, you will be transitioned into a role that aligns with your skillset and where you can add value to the business.
As with all our employees, continued employment is of course subject to achieving your performance targets and complying with Telstra’s values and policies.
International graduates will be offered employment subject to them maintaining appropriate working rights as required by the Australian Department of Immigration and Boarder Security.
When do applications open and close?
Applications for the 2019 program open on Thursday, March 1, 2018 and close four weeks later at 11.55pm AEDT on Wednesday, March 29, 2018.
