My future is full of possibilities
I lead a talented team who manage relationships with our highly valued Telstra Business clients. We’re trusted advisors who understand our customers’ businesses and use our ICT expertise to open their minds up to a whole new world of possibilities.
My original career was going be radiography, but I was told I spent too much time engaging with patients which led to my career change at Telstra. I was originally in a customer service role but developed a great relationship with the sales team. I spent my flex days learning the ropes in sales and was eventually offered a job in the department. The rest is history!
Telstra’s commitment to my career and investment in leadership programs has been exceptional.
I’ve had lots of opportunities outside my business area, like workshops about the future of retail. It’s been a fantastic way to broaden my skills and networks.
This is an environment where everyone strives to do better and to improve customer experience. A great example in Victoria/Tasmania is the Advocacy Academy. It’s a cross pollination of ideas and a forum for people to ask for help in engaging customers. It’s a really exciting idea that looks set to be rolled out nationally.
Looking ahead, I see my role as developing our future leaders by recognising and promoting my top performers. What I’ve found is that Telstra is a company that is abundant with opportunities to make a difference – and that’s why I’m still here today.
