About the role:

Drive the operational integration and delivery of new global products, customer solutions, migrations, product exits and enhancements.

Determining ideal delivery approach and key deliverables for new products, services or customer solutions to ensure the best customer and business outcome.

Be accountable for continuously capitalizing on improvement opportunities within both the immediate GBS Business Engagement (BE) organization and the broader Telstra environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide and/or assess initial product, solution, service, application, technology proposals for potential operational impacts, commercial and technical viability
  • Assess proposed product/feature/migration/exit and identify impacted operational groups/processes
  • Forecast operational resource requirements for initial project development to ensure appropriate areas and expertise are engaged
  • Identify most effective methodology to be used for delivery and make recommendations/influence accordingly
  • Coordinate virtual teams to operationally enable new products, solutions, services, technology, applications and systems into all operational areas in the end 2 end value chain
  • Actively analyze end-to-end solution and advise if there are impacts to operational teams not yet identified as a result of fluctuating scope
  • Capture and communicate any operational concerns that may impact Operational Readiness risks or issues (blockers for Agreement to Operate) to the relevant delivery team
  • Maintain master view of sign-offs required (sign-off list for Operational Readiness purposes - to ensure the appropriate approvers are kept in the loop)
  • Drive operational elements within construct/design/build/process workshops for the new products, solutions, migrations, exits and enhancements being delivered
  • Contribute to the development of the requirements, design rules and technical specifications that ensure designs comply with regulatory, financial requirements, and deliver a positive customer service experience
  • Influence product/service solution design and architecture through feedback to idea developers/owners
  • Manage communication with all key internal and external stakeholders to achieve specific objectives of individual projects
  • Produce Overall Business Impact statement (OBIS), Operate model, Operational Readiness checklist (ORC) and Agreement to operate (ATO) artefacts on all projects
  • Ensure all necessary stakeholders are engaged and communicate clear expectations and delivery timelines required for operational acceptance
  • Ensure all new products, solutions, migrations, enhancements and exists align and fit into the Telstra digitalization and business strategy
  • Capture the detail of operational teams’ conditional acceptances and identify owners for the various items
  • Recommend launch approval of the initiative and coordinate endorsements for all affected teams in the end to end operate model
  • Ensure operational delivery capability within affected operational groups is in place through defined training, process build and system accesses
  • Own all the business requirements aspects of the technology solution needed to support the function including process design and implementations as and when required

Qualifications:

  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing the ability to dive deep
  • Demonstrated record of successful delivery, able to attain results, drive issues to closure, set high standards of performance and pursue challenging goals
  • Demonstrated leadership in a multi-disciplinary team involved in complex problem solving, managing multiple stakeholders and conflicting points of view
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and chairing meetings to ensure they achieve specific, measured outcomes
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint; Intermediate MS Excel
  • Knowledge of telecommunications and IT industry trends
  • Knowledge of Telstra Product and Solutions would be an advantage
  • Experience working in a virtual and matrix organization to deliver business outcomes
  • Deep understanding of ITIL related processes in a large ITSM environment
  • ITIL Service Management certification would be preferred
