Looking for: Mobile Automation Lead

Act as Senior Test Lead on projects to support a program of work adding and enhancing capability on Telstra’s MyTelstra applications and Telstra Floor Manager application by ensuring the integrity and quality of solutions.  

The role variously is the Lead Tester or operates under instruction from a Lead Tester as required.

The MSP Test Team is directly accountable for all testing of all MSP MyTelstra applications (native front end and web service layer) and the Telstra Floor Manager application.  As such, this is a cross functional and cross organisation role and is required to work across functional and organisational boundaries to achieve the integrity and quality of the MSP applications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working independently (within broad guidelines) to deliver business partner requirements as per agreed schedules, costs and quality targets by Interacting effectively with business partners to refine and understand the requirements
  • Manage the team to produce test deliverables
  • Contribute to the assurance of the underlying performance and integrity of customers’ services on production systems by Reviewing and comprehending business requirements and functional specifications
  • Developing, Managing, and assuming ownership of Testing Processes
  • Provide senior technical support to the technical staff and leadership support to the management staff in the team.
  • Lead improvement activities to Identify and take leadership to implement improvements to ensure efficient, agile and effective delivery of the program of work and operation of the SDF platform

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • 8 to 12 years work experience with Hands on experience in leading QA automation
  • Excellent Hands on experience on the following:

1. One of the scripting languages (Js, Python, Shell scripting)

2. Selenium

3. Appium

4. API and Performance Testing

5. Security Testing tools (Fidler/ Charles/ Burp)

6. Postman

7. Static Code Analysers integration (Sonarcube or  Source clear)

8. CI/CD (Continuous integration/delivery) pipeline model (Jenkins/Bamboo)

9.Mobile Testing Experience (any two – iOS, Android, Windows, etc.)

  • Strong Programming skills (Core Java).
  • Strong Experience working on complex projects under Agile Methodology
  • Experience with Agile tools (such as Jira and Confluence) is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering

About the role:

As a Service Delivery Specialist, you will work with the industry partner operations team and provide best practice support across Activations functions within NBN Consumer Activations [GBS]. You will be responsible for the deployment of tactical operational improvements and support strategic changes on the ground

You will:

  • Provide operational discipline and support to the industry partner on day-day operation
  • Provide input into recommendations that support development of effective strategic, tactical or operational plans and programs

To be successful to the role, you’ll

  • Drive improvement in the Key Operational Metrics from current baseline
  • Support and lead the industry partner operations teams to ensure there is no risk to the business and Telstra’s Customers

Key responsibilities are:

Performance Management

  • Oversee workloads and monitor queues to achieve service level agreements. Identify queue trends and variances.
  • Ensure that high level and day to day operational and resourcing matters are managed
  • Empower the Industry Partner to make decisions, act independently and to escalate when help is required to solve problems and/or remove organisational barriers.
  • Provide an effective pathway for partners to escalate process and performance issues and concerns. Intervene if / when required.
  • Conduct Performance Improvement Reviews and make recommendations for ways to improve internal processes and streamline business activity.

Provide support and quality advice with process activities

  • Assist relevant areas to identify process specifications, requirements and solutions
  • Facilitation of regular calibration sessions to assist in ongoing QA alignment. Provide coaching [in line with Telstra methodologies] to Industry Partner Quality Assurance teams to ensure quality compliance
  • Daily call listening of agent interactions with customers. Share feedback and provide high standard of coaching and mentoring staff to meet and exceed expectations, increasing productivity.
  • Daily agent ride-on’s conducted and observations shared in real-time with partner and in-country management
  • Recommend improvement opportunities within the process that contribute to a better Customer experience and NPS measure.

  

Participate in the design of new processes or process enhancements

  • Research specified topics/projects, participate in projects within described parameters. Report progress on projects allocated
  • Provide advice and guidance to relevant areas to enable; automation, integrated operational processes and procedures including documentation.
  • Assist in the introduction of process improvements into the Industry Partner operations to ensure initiatives are delivered with speed by ensuring the team adopts relevant methods and tools based on new ways of working.
  • Review and make recommendations to stakeholders on performance measures required as a result of product or services development/enhancement activities

Transition & Change Management

  • Onsite guidance and support for any future Transition activities
  • Provide “on-site” health checks for the project team for any transition
  • Support the transition team by highlighting risks and issues visible “on-site”

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with 3 - 5 years on the job experience, experience in International Telecommunications account is highly desirable
  • Experience in participating and supporting large and complex programs of change and business improvement
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders, both internal and external, to achieve business objectives

About the role

This role will work within a team of developers and service designers delivering capabilities which will help design and develop new services and products for Telstra’s Product and Enablement Technology group to take to market.

The senior lead will apply standard industry best practices around choice of technology, quality development and optimal process for software delivery ensuring stable production platform.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Extensive experience in developing application or automated tests for network software applications (API & Web protocols)
  • Applies coding/scripting skills to different purposes  
  • Mentor and Coach all the Junior developers in team to improve their skills.     
  • Performs continuous integration using a CI server to run the build automatically in response to changes in the code base.
  • Follows programming standards to write code that supports agreed software design or requirement
  • Structures code so that it is readable, flexible, secure and modifiable             
  • Writes robust and secure code by following organisational security guidelines and deploying secure coding techniques
  • Adapts programming skills to other languages or paradigms and confidently writes object service-oriented code  
  • Follows relevant guidelines for code documentation and commenting
  • Accountable for follow up with all the extended teams to resolve issues reported by customer
  • Work with testing team members to ensure all production releases/updates are of acceptable quality and without any issues for customer.
  • Be a part of Agile team to deliver business values on regular basis. Follow all the agile ceremony and participate actively in them

Your skills & experience:

Essential:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in development including 4 to 5 years working as a Full stack
  • 2 years of experience with NodeJS
  • 5 years of experience with Core Java and 2 years with Spring Boot
  • Good to have design experience in single page apps(SPA design)
  • Hands on experience with AWS cloud deployments.
  • Hands on experience with Agile Tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo)
  • Hands on experience with containers & Orchestration: Docker, Docker compose, AWS services
  • Knowledge on CI/CD tools like Bamboo, BitBucket etc.

Essential skills

  • Microservices development – HTTP, REST API​ design and implementation​

initially leading the transition of transactional and managed services BoH (Back of House) collectively known as Accounting Services into Telstra’s India Centre (Innovation & Capability Centre).  It will then evolve into leading the delivery of an effective and efficient Accounting Services operation in ICC.

Key responsibilities

  • To effectively manage a team in supporting the day to day operations of the business area.
  • Management of various business processes that may involve developing and implementing agreed programs, policies and procedures, implementing programs to drive efficiencies, implement accounting standards and support the business to meet its objectives including key strategic projects.
  • Plan and lead ongoing reviews of business processes and systems to ensure the company’s evolving corporate objectives are met.
  • Recommend step improvements in own area and between areas, including awareness of best practice.
  • Manage the development of tracking and reporting frameworks.
  • Act as the leading subject matter expert in an area of skill and provide coaching as appropriate.

Your capabilities & experience

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in BPO Partner Management/Operations Management or offshoring shared services experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative within a business context.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and problem-solving capability.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Good Knowledge of Telstra’s Systems in particularly Telstra General (Integral PLUS) and other Finance Systems including Billing Systems and Telstra’s reporting platform (TBAL) are highly desirable.

working closely with stakeholders, vendors, business analysts and project managers and play a key role in successful delivery of transformation programs.  You will also be responsible for planning, managing, and implementing the change for the 5 service functions within Global Finance Service (GFS) Accounting Service into the centre in India.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of the transformation program for Global Finance Service - Accounting Services in Bangalore ICC.
  • Oversee all the program activities across capability build for technology, governance, people and risk.
  • Lead project teams in support of different project workstreams, and manage overall project activities, plans, and schedules associated with deliverables and milestones.
  • Lead, guide and support multiple workstream leads / consultants through the design and implementation of targeted change strategies including identification of change impacts to people, process, policy, and structure, stakeholder identification and alignment, appropriate communication and feedback loops, success measures, training, organizational readiness, and long-term sustainability.
  • Leads, drive day-to-day change management activities while providing the appropriate levels of support and coaching for team members

Your capabilities & experience

To be successful in the role, you must have:

  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Strong Stakeholder and Engagement Skills.
  • Ability to lead, guide and coach project team members in areas such as production, maintenance, reliability, managements systems and sanitation.
