Role with us

Actively contributing to the definition of solutions and assessment of ideas, utilising our deep experience in digital technologies and minimising outcome risk by accurately and continually estimating and reporting on progress and potential impediments to success. You will ensure re-use or build best-fit software solutions on time and budget for business partners whilst being responsible for the ongoing quality of our delivered solutions - production stability is our first priority.

Key Accountabilities

  • Consult and implement right-fit test automation approach

  • Consult on Agile testing and test automation (accelerators, tools and partner's products) 

  • Lead implementation of the test plan/strategy from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live"/steady stage
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices, including emerging ones such as cloud, mobile, big data and IoT testing
  • Act as a career coach or/and advisor for future leadership subordinates
  • Guide DevOps engineers and developers in following best practices and standards
  • Complying with all relevant processes and standards, including change management principles and processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed defined quality standards.
  • Designing and delivering monitoring and planning for systems performance and capacity to ensure current and future requirements are met

Skill & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in IT, Science or Engineering or equivalent experience

Solving complex problems

Degree level IT qualifications in Software or Systems Engineering.

8-10 years’ experience in implementing DEVOPS

Contribution to developing IT Strategy

Engaging and influencing stakeholders

Role with us

Manage the optimisation of an at-scale, end-to-end Agile process from ideation through to operation, enabling delivery teams to deliver business value and quality customer outcomes

Key Accountabilities

  • Guide the team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices, facilitating and participating in key Agile ceremonies across Scrum teams
  • Lead and facilitate teams of subject matter experts, working within a dynamic and cross-functional environment to ensure Scrum best practices are followed and adopted
  • Work with the Product Owner to re-balance and reprioritise work within a sprint, supporting and educating the Product Owner on agile practices
  • Assess the Scrum Maturity of teams and Telstra, coaching to higher levels of maturity
  • Manage the process for the exchange of information, facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution to keep the team focused on the goals of the iteration
  • HSE Responsibility: Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others, comply with and implement any reasonable Telstra HSE instruction, policy, standard, minimum requirement or procedure, and support Telstra to meet its duties under the relevant safety and environmental legislation.

Role with us

Senior Salesforce Developer will work with business stakeholders and ITS colleagues in the implementation and support of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) at Telstra. This position offers diversity in projects, an opportunity to work in a team environment with autonomy and a high-level of responsibility. There are also excellent opportunities for professional growth and advancement within Telstra Customer Platforms and broader Telstra systems.

Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for leading technical CRM application development activities for Telstra across requirement analysis, design, development and implementation on Telstra’s key CRM platforms. They will be responsible for developing and coordinating technical delivery aspects of all Telstra’s CRM systems implementations, communicating effectively and fostering strong relationships with business users and stakeholders.

The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for ensuring all requests from the business are developed and delivered in the most optimal way taking into consideration business roadmaps, ITS CRM Strategy, industry best practice, vendor roadmaps and thought leadership and innovation delivering a competitive advantage to Telstra.

Salesforce Developer will participate in and/or be responsible for technical analysis of functional designs, preparation of technical designs, technical build & implementation of CRM, CRM configuration and scripting, quality & code reviews, facilitating testing, resolution of defects identified during test, managing relationships between support and development team, mentoring and training.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ability to design and develop Salesforce CRM & Force.com Applications
  • Ability to review vendor designs and recommended solutions based on industry best practises
  • Ability to provide technical governance across CRM solutions at Telstra
  • Assess and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Salesforce application solutions to ensure user requirements and business objectives are met in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Understand overall business operations and develops innovative solutions to help improve productivity
  • Ability to understand and design provisioning solutions at Telstra and how CRM interacts with provisioning layers.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills needed to support enterprise high availability Salesforce applications
  • Coordinate with technical resource within and outside of Customer Platforms team.
  • Monitor process of software configuration/development/testing to assure quality deliverable.
  • Ensure standards of QA are being met
  • Review deliverables to verify that they meet client and contract expectations; Implement and enforce high standards for quality deliverables
  • Analyses performance and capacity issues of the highest complexity with Salesforce application.
  • Demonstrate thought Leadership in Cloud CRM innovations and practices.
  • Assists leadership with development and management of new application capabilities to improve productivity
  • Provide training and educate other team members around core capabilities and helps them deliver high quality solutions and deliverables/documentation

The Software Engineer will work within feature teams delivering into Telstra’s B2B Full Stack Development using high performance software engineering methods – lean, agile and XP. The role will include all aspects of delivery: design, development, testing, devops tool chains (CI/CD) and devops work on production systems.

The software engineer will have functional knowledge of the B2B Full Stack Development domain and experience of agile high velocity delivery. There is a strong focus on working directly with product owners and customers to solution directly for the customer’s needs. The role also requires a deep commitment to continuous improvement and driving long term software engineering quality.

This position offers diversity in projects, an opportunity to work in a team environment with autonomy and a high-level of responsibility. There are also excellent opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the Software Engineering team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design, Develop, Deploy and improve specific technologies and their interaction with Telstra processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units
  • Achieve a well-defined, functioning and repeatable set of key business, with product owners and technology processes to ensure consistent quality is maintained
  • Perform application performance, load analysis and assist in capacity planning as required to support the solution

Should have worked in front end(Web, Mobile automation) and Digital engineering.

Technical Descriptors

  • Hands on experience in Selenium /Watir, QTP, Jmeter

  • Familiar with creating test framework for automation release

  • Develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation; e.g., data-driven testing

  • Well versed with scripting, Unit Testing, Integration testing, System testing, Sanity testing, Smoke testing, Interface testing, Regression testing, API testing, acceptance test, performance testing

  • Work with the Release Engineering team to create and maintain an automated nightly build verification (“smoke”) test.
  • Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo)
  • Hands-on experience of testing Restful API based micro services

 Technical Skills:

  • Developing/designing automation solutions for Config. Management, CICD, Deployment, Monitoring, and other web-application development.
  • Primary Skills: DevOps, CICD, Hands-on engineer, designer, AWS, Containers/docker, monitoring, alerting, deployment
  • Designed solutions to build applications that can scale horizontally or vertically.
  • Has strong hands on coding experience.
  • Hands on experience in using CICD tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins.
  • Strong hands on experience with Docker Containers
  • Strong AWS skills
  • Proficient in Golang (or any modern high level programming language) programming and working knowledge of databases (mysql, Mongodb/couchbase).
  • Knowledge of monitoring, and dashboard and alerting tools. Knowledge of tool such as NewRelic, kibana, pager duty, aquasec is needed.
  • Create a very detailed technical solution design.
  • Hands-on experience in building REST APIs and event driven system.
  • Prior experience of building CICD as a service is a must.
  • Hands on experience in building hundreds, if not thousands of , Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (Deployment) pipelines using Bamboo or Jenkins is a must.

Work Experience:

  • Around 10-15 years of hands on development experience preferably in DevOps area.
  • Managed a team of highly technical and motivated engineers.

 Essential Qualifications: 

  • MSc, MCA/ BE (IT/Computer Sc./Telecommunication/Electronics)
  • Strong data structures, algorithm and computer knowledge
  • Willing to code few hours a day

Key Accountabilities

Salesforce Technical Architect role is to plan, coordinate, and execute all activities related to the requirements interpretation, design and implementation of CRM applications. This individual will apply proven industry and technology experience as well as communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to issues related to design, development, and deployment of mission-critical CRM systems with a focus on quality application development and delivery.

This role is key to the success of the Customer Platforms function at Telstra and will be responsible and accountable for the following:

 

  • Ability to design and develop Salesforce CRM & Force.com Applications
  • Ability to develop or design CPQ and Product Modelling constructs, catalogue rules.
  • Ability to review vendor designs and recommended solutions based on industry best practises

  • 10+ years of experience into IT software development.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and helping teams explore, adopt and optimize Agile/Lean processes, principles and practices.  
  • Deep technical knowledge of microservices, web development frameworks and APIs
  • Good understanding of cloud offerings like PCF (IaaS, PaaS etc.),
