Our Telstra Colocation Portfolio addresses customers hosting needs with geographically diverse data centres operating in 14 countries and territories across Asia, Australia, US and Europe and comply with International data centre standards.

As a Senior Product Specialists, you will be the primary lead on Telstra’s colocation product portfolio defining its vision, strategy and roadmap. You will maintain a close relationship with the market (partners and customers), identify growth opportunities and drive profitability for Telstra.

Other responsibilities as a Senior Product Specialist will include:

  • Contribute deep product, segment and technical expertise to run co-location products within Telstra
  • Focus on lifecycle strategy across all relevant segment channels, and improve the product performance and optimising profitability
  • Define product vision, strategy and roadmap by to achieve the strategic goals for the portfolio   
  • Collaborate within the product team and group, and across the value chain to create a superior end-to-end customer experience across the product lifecycle
  • Participate in major sales activities, including product and services training, customers escalations and support for key bids
  • Identify new geographies and services to launch to cater to market demand and drive growth
  • Work cross functionally with Product Marketing, Sales Teams and Partners to create sales campaigns to drive uptake of products and services and improve EBITDA
  • Participate and embrace the agile ways of working mindsets and practices for the team

Therefore, to be successful in this role, you need to have the following:

  • 10 + years previous experience in managing/operating colocation or data centre products, both domestic and international
  • Understand product lifecycle, and experience in product roadmaps, business strategy and launching new products and services
  • The ability to leverage and build on existing products and services and innovatively resell these to the market
  • Strong analytical skills ability to calculate and articulate ROI of products
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and comfortable with engaging at senior levels
  • Good knowledge of international market such as APAC

The Account Director will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Sales and will likely be in a senior sales role and looking for a challenging and rewarding change into an individual contributor role (albeit with the ability to lead a virtual and geographically diverse team).

The role has a direct impact on Telstra’s T22 strategy by offering strategic and innovative thought leadership to Telstra’s client base for global solutions. It's designed to have a positive impact on achieving Telstra’s sales, revenue and NPS targets. It will drive connectivity and Network Application Services (NAS) revenue and sales for our global products within the respective markets and ensure that global product portfolio is represented in your account plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identifying and winning NEW high value and strategic enterprise customers to achieve targets and Customer Satisfaction Measures.
  • To establish a sales portfolio plan that set-out the strategy to achieve your key performance metrics and build a sustainable pipeline over the next 12-24 months.
  • To establish and maintain long term relationships with “C”’ level decision makers to maximize business opportunities.
  • To develop and maintain in depth knowledge of the Prospects business and technology environment and drivers, relevant for the application of network IT services.
  • To develop and maintain an understanding of the organization’s Network Application Services (NAS) portfolio to effectively develop and present business led propositions to our Prospects.
  • To participate actively in sales calls and bid reviews as appropriate and contribute to the rapid growth of sales, demonstrating excellent account and relationship management and ‘closing skills’ to the team.
  • To manage internal sales business management responsibilities including sales opportunity forecasting, reporting, account reviews and opportunity management.
  • To conduct regular knowledge sharing and coaching with peers, sharing best practices and industry insights to build motivation and selling skills.
  • To work in close cooperation with internal teams and collaborate well with Peers across the International Region.
  • Occasional traveling as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous high sales performance as an individual contributor. Experience in managing Global accounts.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategy
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders – internal and external with the ability to navigate through complex process.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required in English.
  • Experience working for an International company that achieves success through cross-regional collaboration. Be cultural sensitive in these markets.
  • More than 12 years’ experience with a University Degree with emphasis in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines;
  • Good technical knowledge in Telecommunications, IP networks & technologies, Cloud, S/I/P-aaS, Design & Quality drivers in the Enterprise environment
  • Proven sales capacity in new business development, within Asian Telecommunications market – Where no previous billing relationship exists.
  • Ability to articulate the value of a complex enterprise sale in business terms, outlining the value proposition, ROI and total cost of ownership.
  • Ability to work flexibly to accommodate calls and meetings outside normal business hours
  • Familiarity with Miller Heiman methodology
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com.

Our Supplier Governance Team is responsible for a coordinated approach to making sure we have everything we need to provide world-class customer service. As a Supplier Governance Senior Specialist, you will be focused on the design, implementation and delivery of the Global Supplier Risk Management Framework for Telstra. Risk management will be embedded in all aspects of the end to end supplier lifecycle, with accountabilities understood across the business. This will enable the business to make informed decisions to realise not just expected commercial outcomes, but to also meet our internal and external obligations, and to protect our employee and customer interests as well as our brand and reputation.

As a Supplier Governance Sr. Specialist, your key responsibilities are…
 

  • Identify and understand risks, controls and gaps across the end to end supply chain
  • Implement the Global Supplier Risk Management Framework to mature supplier risk management practices globally across Telstra
  • Engage with senior BU stakeholders and SMEs across the business on implementation of the Framework
  • Assist to determine required supporting systems, processes and structures to support the Framework and make recommendations accordingly
  • Enhance the assurance program to monitor and report on compliance with, and the effectiveness of, the Global Supplier Risk Management Framework
  • Enhance  the assurance program for monitoring our suppliers’ practices against our Principals, Policies, Codes and contractual obligations
  • Prepare reports on the framework, and the assurance program outcomes for senior management and the Audit & Risk Committee.

To be successful in this role, you must have…

  • Proven expertise in Procurement specialising in Governance, Risk and Compliance
  • Proven knowledge of and experience in within a client facing role dealing with key stakeholders. Contract management/ procurement / supply chain / risk management
  • Ability to apply a commercial lens to ensure we make great decisions using risk management as an enabler that builds value
  • Understands key sources of information to defines problems / opportunities / solutions
  • Steps back to review current situation, looks beyond the obvious, exploring potential risks and impacts, not stopping at the first answers and looking for opportunities for business improvement
  • A degree in Commerce, Business, Risk Management or Logistics related discipline is highly desirable
  • Proven project and change management skills and experience
  • Experience working in a Telco Background is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and proactively

Our Activations team are there to help. With a customer centric approach to everything they do, they are able to seamlessly activate and install customer services including the management of failed activations.

In this role, you will perform Project Management tasks and responsibilities including setting, guiding and managing projects to their target. Responsible for managing time (schedules/phases), cost (actual/budget), resources (Internal and External) and content (milestones/targets).


As a Service Delivery Specialist, you will:

  • Participates in proposal preparation and customer contact activities to provide for proper fulfilment in accordance to customer specifications
  • Conduct provisioning and fault assurance presentations to customers during the sales process.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage all aspects of Service Delivery, to meet agreed upon contractual obligations and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage Activation and Provisioning teams to confirm solutions.
  • Create project plans and manage modifications. Define needed resources and organize project tasks and working roles. Plan, create, deploy and deliver processes related to project.
  • Answer billing enquiries associated with general items on bill, payment details and billing disputes.
  • Assist with trouble-shooting if necessary, for Services that had been recently handed over to Service Assurance teams. Work with Service Manager and assist as needed
  • Conduct regular account review with customer and account team to identify any possible service needs.
  • Attend customer’s Quarterly Business Review meetings, if necessary

To be successful in the role, you'll need:          

  • Good knowledge in Layer 1/2/3 networks
  • Reasonable PM knowledge and knowledge in the project subject area
  • Documented success in delivering projects (time, cost, content and resources).
  • Computer literacy including, standard Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to work on flexible schedule to accommodate global time zone demands
  • Ability to work under a fast-paced environment and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to identify potential problems and the advantages and disadvantages of provided solution.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to analyse the matter and provide solution
  • Proven experience in Cloud Service Delivery in a customer service environment is desirable
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English is required. Multi-lingual capabilities is a plus
  • PMP certification is highly desirable
  • ITIL certification is also an advantage
