A Business Development, Technology & Media Sales will have an exciting opportunity to leverage your deep experience in delivering creative, innovative technology solutions to the technology industry, to help them drive accelerated and disruptive growth into Asia Pacific in particular. A key part of Telstra’s Technology & Media team in the Americas, you will be responsible for delivering accelerated growth across a defined portfolio of technology and media prospects, focusing on account and territory strategy, customer engagement, and identification of new revenue opportunities. The role will be a key contributor to the Americas Technology and Media customer acquisition plan.
This exciting segment includes cloud and hosting providers, Software as a Service, eCommerce, gaming, media and broadcast customers and represents a significant growth opportunity for Telstra. In this role, you will help shape Telstra’s strategy in the segment, and to drive mindshare of Telstra’s unique assets and capabilities in the Asia-Pacific market in particular.
A key part of this role will involve developing a business plan for driving new revenue growth with technology and media customers, implementing tactical action plans and managing virtual teams across multiple time zones in order to deliver a seamless, global experience for these customers / prospects.
As part of this role, the Business Development Manager, Technology & Media Sales, will act consultatively, develop an understanding of the current challenges, opportunities and threats faced by their customers/prospects in the technology and media market, as well as having deep technology and communications experience that will enable them to offer relevant, innovative solutions to these customers that drive business outcomes. This is a challenging role and successful employees will be passionate, driven, tenacious, methodical and team-oriented sales professionals. Employees should demonstrate business acumen and professionalism required to deal with clients at C-suite and Board level.
