The Senior IT Test Specialist will:

  • Ensure test strategy, planning and test automation is developed and implemented to deliver repeatable testing and measurable quality improvements.
  • Take the lead on implementing an agile and highly automated testing operating model; prepare, facilitate and follow up on key ceremonies.
  • Consult with development leads and other stakeholders as required to ensure that effective automated testing is embedded in the design and development of our products.
  • Define and measure testing metrics to identify and plan for areas of improvement.
  • Effectively communicate testing outcomes and quality assessments to achieve product objectives, including cost/benefit for different levels of testing when balanced against business priorities and risk.
  • Coordinate scheduling for system and integration testing; and communicate with testing partners when there are multiple systems and development teams involved.
  • Work as a permanent full time employee based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in complex IT testing programs in medium to large integration environments is mandatory
  • Deep knowledge of quality and automated testing tools and frameworks, with substantial experience in test automation to deliver medium to large scale automated testing suites
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of non-functional and functional testing capabilities
  • Knowledge of testing processes and systems is required together with demonstrated ability to prioritise and make appropriate judgements
  • Experience with common development languages
  • Show initiative, drive and the ability to work and demonstrate leadership in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to drive consensus among peers and stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills, with an attention to detail

About the role:

As a Project Coordinator, you will be functioning as an Associate Project Manager and accountable for the delivery of Work Packages and Small Projects within the Project Services Team, executing allocated project tasks to agreed quality standards and timeframes, maintaining project tools and records, and reporting on the status of project tasks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all established Microsoft Project Schedules and timelines are followed effectively and escalations are in place to Management where slippages of milestones are identified.
  •  Follow best practice guidelines in building a comprehensive stakeholder management plan to ensure that both internal and external stakeholders are proactively engaged and informed.
  • Maintain and report on all progress status and metrics required by Telstra and external business stakeholders.
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop and improve process as part of the project deliverables, producing step-by-step workflows as required that produce tangible improvements benefitting the customer
  • Ensuring quotes have a valid Purchase Order which have been provided by the customer prior to commencing any Project works or activity.
  • Manage all phases of the project, from individual Project initiation through to close, ensuring alignment with the original quote or Sales Business Case (SBC) and any additional quotes and Project Change Requests (PCRs).
  • Effectively manage Project teams ensuring Resource demand is accurate and up-to-date in resource management systems.
  • Manage to budgetary and Project requirements for Project revenue, margin and costs as well as line of business budget and accountabilities.

To be successful in the role, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of proven work experience as a Project Coordinator in managing telecom infrastructure projects.
  • Expert with MS Office Tools (Excel, Powerpoint and Word)
  • Working Knowledge of Visio.
  • Good understanding of process mapping & process improvement
  • Strong communication (written, verbal) and presentation abilities to articulate technical concepts with both technical and non-technical partners at various levels
  • Excellent document control and management skills including writing and reviewing project documentation, schedules, time & expense reports and resource forecasts
  • Previous experience working on offshore projects
  • Knowledge of Project Management Tools such as MS Office and MS Project.
  • Solid experience in end to end project management preferably within the telco industry
  • Must have an ITIL/PMP or CAPM Certification
  • Strong Stakeholder management experience
  • Collaborative across different teams globally

As a Senior Product Manager, your role is to lead the development and execution of the Connected Supply Chain product strategy including but not limited to owning the product roadmap and delivering product capability, life cycle management and go-to-market strategy. Part of your responsibility is to drive innovation and unlock new markets through a deep domain understanding of our product and platform capabilities combined with customer and market intelligence.

Connected Supply Chain is a strategically important product to Global IoT Solutions as we drive further up the value chain to solution selling. This is an emerging end-to-end solution that optimises international supply chains, driving out cost and improving efficiency for our customers. 
 

Your key accountabilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Drive the development of business cases which define the product value proposition to support product and services roadmap investments in collaboration with business partners.
  • Support the development of competitive and differentiated products to market by managing with agility and responding to the speed of change within the asset management and industrial IoT segment.
  • Develop pricing and commercial strategies for new and existing devices, software features and application services based on market and customer feedback.
  • Work closely with a range of stakeholders from Marketing, Sales and Operations to ensure smooth customer journey that is simple and digital enabled.
  • Advise and influence a range of stakeholders at all levels on technical, commercial, process, market and other issues relating to the CSC portfolio.
  • Ensure the best possible customer experience for the portfolio’s product performance within budget and technical boundaries.
  • Develop business cases, product modelling, profitability, and other financial analyses to enable new product creation, product improvement and capability enhancements to be brought to market.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and manage commercial issues relating to the Connected Supply Chain product and dealing with competitive, legal, and regulatory matters.
  • Develop relationships and work effectively with key external stakeholders relevant to the achievement of business objectives including 3rd party vendors, and research partners.
  • Work effectively and in partnership with other product managers in the Product Management Chapter and in the Connected Supply Chain Mission team.
  • Attends agile ceremonies and work with product owners and scrum masters to continuously evolve work backlog.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A product management background in a telecommunications, technology or adjacent industry or an internal Telstra subject matter expert in a related role with transferrable skills
  • A strong knowledge of the Internet of Things category and/or related product sets including network, product, and device and service propositions would be a significant advantage, as would knowledge of Telstra’s operational support teams for IoT products.
  • Experience working with decentralised DevOps teams to develop software applications and/or platforms
  • Commercial and business acumen to deliver and drive the success of your products.
  • The ability to quickly analyse complex problems and provide direction for implementation. 
  • The ability to present at the Executive level.
  • A focused mindset on continual learning and improvement for self, with proven experience in a combination of strategy, sales execution, analytical and product roles.
  • Have worked in teams that use an agile methodology.
