You've finished our application process - what happens next?
Before we can offer you a place, we’ll need to conduct a couple of checks. This may be a security check or a background check, however, your recruiter will let you know what checks will be conducted.
This is the final step in the process! If you have been successful, we’ll give you a ring to let you know the good news.
We often see a high calibre of candidates throughout the interview process. Subsequently, some candidates may just miss out on receiving a role with us. If this is the case, we will let you know and keep you in our talent pool, so if roles become available later in the year, we will be in touch.
Why does it sometimes take a while to hear back about my application?
Every year, we receive thousands of applications for our Programs. To assess each one fairly we ask for your patience. Your recruiter will keep you updated when they can at each stage of the selection process. You can see our recruitment timelines here.
Where would I be based?
At Telstra, our approach to flexibility is as unique as you. We encourage you to work where, when, and how you are the most engaged, safe, and productive. To find out more about All Roles flex, please click here.
What salary do you offer graduates?

How long are your programs?
Our Telstra Graduate Program in Australia runs for 14-months and begins with a 4 week business orientation and training period whilst you familiarise yourself with your team.
Our Telstra Graduate Program in Asia runs for 13-months and begins in September each year.
While our Summer Internship Program runs for three months and begins at the end of each year.
If I’m made an offer for the Telstra Graduate Program, can I start early?
We love your enthusiasm, but everyone starts at the same time. Why? Because our Program has been designed to ensure all graduates move through as a cohort.
Will there be a position for me after the Graduate Program ends?
One of the things that makes our Graduate Program so great is that you’re a permanent employee from day one! Once you near the end of the program, you will be transitioned into a role that aligns with your pathway.
As with all our employees, continued employment is subject to achieving your performance targets and complying with our values and policies.
International graduates will be offered employment subject to them maintaining appropriate working rights as required by the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Security.
