The Opportunity with us

As the Senior Product Specialist you’ll be:

  • Working closely with the Managed Service Operations Manager and the General Manager of Managed Services to combine VMtech service offerings and existing Telstra offerings.
  • Presenting to and collaborating with Telstra’s Business Technology Services sales teams in order to drive customer sales.
  • Engaging with the sales team to develop sales collateral
  • Defining and developing new offerings including price modelling through your engagement with the Portfolio and Growth team (who are consistently introducing new technologies) and the General Manager of Managed Services.
  • Acting as the Pre-Sales Architect for Managed Services and to Telstra’s wider Business Technology Services sales team.
  • Taking the lead on all tender responses associated with Managed Services
  • Continually building market insight to report back to Senior Management on sales in the marketplace, customer requirements, analysis on competitors with a mindset and determination to identify what needs to be done to remain competitive in the marketplace.

A bit about you

To be successful in the role you’ll have: 

  • Previous experience in Managed Services either in operations or developing
  • A technical background and a keen interest in technology
  • Customer engagement experience through roles in either Sales, Pre-Sales or Product Management.
  • Previous experience project managing product development or product lifecycle is essential
  • Experience in documenting solutions therefore being able to put together product documentation from sales or marketing through to operational guidelines.
