To support our rapid growth, improve our speed to market, deliver data-driven, automated and customer centric digital experiences we are renewing all our platforms from the ground up. We’ve set up cross-functional agile teams covering our all our systems, including: Marketing, CRM, Digital, Data, Analytics, Product Catalogue, Billing and Order Orchestration.
How we work
We are all co-located in Melbourne and work together with other Belong team intensively every day. We use Human Centric Design in front of an Agile delivery practices. We are highly focussed on automated testing and deployment through CI/CD. We love atomic design, modular and reusable code and automated infrastructure. We embrace continuous learning through optimisation and testing. We aim to build a highly automated, personalised and optimised experience for each of our individual customers
What we are doing
We are developing a reusable, atomic design framework and selecting and implementing tools to fully automate digital content creation and delivery. We are about to decide and implement our site components: my account, shop, chat, analytics. We are working closely with other product owners to design new end-to-end customer journeys. Within the customer experience team, we are ensuring we all live our Target Customer Experience principles.
Who are we looking for?
We have a bias for people with mix of skills and willingness to wear multiple hats. For example, Experience Design & Development, or Front-end and Back-end. Not for people who are overly stuck in their specialism (like: “I don’t do testing” or “I do UX but not UI”). You must be Melbourne based (or willing to relocate)
What’s this role?
To support our rapid growth, improve our speed to market, deliver data-driven, automated and customer centric digital experiences, we are looking for a UX Design Lead to lead our team of UX Designers.
The UX Design Lead drives UX Design as a discipline within Belong and contributes to the practice within our feature teams. You will be creating positive impact on our customer experience and our customer base by creating products and services that people love.
What will be your purpose?
You will lead UX design activities to meet user requirements, modelling end-user experiences and developing both customer and internal user’s flows. Collaborate with our CX team, Content team, UI team product team, engineering team and product owners to define and implement innovative solutions for user experience. You will lead the team to develop user interactions via lo and hi fi mock-ups, wireframes and prototypes, but mainly using our design system. UX Research will form a large source of information to guide the team top make the right decisions.

As the lead of the UX design team, you will provide that extra point of reflection on the work and will be challenging the team to keep thinking broader than the actual scope of work.
As our ambition is to drive creative automation delivery to the next level, you will be strong in design-systems thinking and modular, responsive content.
