A Senior Account Executive, Technology & Media Sales will have an exciting opportunity to leverage your deep experience in delivering creative, innovative technology solutions to the technology industry, to help them drive accelerated and disruptive growth into Asia Pacific in particular. A key part of Telstra’s Technology & Media team in the Americas, he will provide dedicated support for an assigned group of technology customers, focusing on account strategy, customer engagement, and identification of new revenue opportunities.

As a Senior Account Executive for Technology and Media Sales, you will be expected to develop strategic portfolio plans to generate new business opportunities for Telstra across the Americas technology and media market. The role will involve developing a business plan for driving new revenue growth with media and broadcast customers, implementing tactical action plans and managing virtual teams across multiple time zones in order to deliver a seamless, global experience for these customers / prospects.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish/Manage strategic customer relationship/s and ongoing development of relationship/s to achieve customer satisfaction including, executive level customer contact plans across multiple business units.
  • Handle inbound/outbound customer sales and service contacts, identifying, developing and closing sales opportunities
  • Achieve Revenue and Sales Objectives for defined portfolio through positioning Telstra products and services
  • Develop, lead and implement the account strategy via the relevant account plans and portfolio plan including the forming of commercial judgment relating to cross BU impact, competition issues and commercial trade-offs required to achieve the sales strategy
  • Coordinate quarterly business review (QBR) meetings for the named accounts. Prepare reports and any other necessary documentation for these QBR meetings
  • Manage significant internal and external stakeholder management issues.

We are looking for an individual to hit the ground running, so it is important you demonstrate:

  • Recognised by media and broadcast customers and prospects as an industry expert in professional media and broadcast, who can work collaboratively with our media customers to tailor solutions
  • Deep knowledge of media and broadcast products and workflows, product and service development and broadcast operations
  • Well-developed consultative selling and customer solution selling skills
  • Strong industry network with existing relationships across broadcast industry and partners in the Americas
  • Documented and strong track record and ability of consistently winning and closing deals
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and to generate new business with existing and new customers and channel partners
  • Proven presentation and communication skills and the ability to story-tell a proposition to C level Executives
