Our Commercial Supply Chain team is responsible for a coordinated approach, making sure we have everything we need to provide world-class customer service and products. You’ll be involved in making sure we provision goods and services that deliver sustainable commercial value year on year.

Supporting the Commercial strategy of the team, this role directly manages multiple aspects of Device Category plans for Mobility, Accessories, Wearable, Smart Home, IoT, Unified Communication and Fixed Line products.

As a Buying Assistant, you are responsible for understanding industry trends and market dynamics and are able to develop fact-based recommendations through proactive research and engagement with suppliers and functional unit stakeholders to support the realisation of sound commercial outcomes.  The key categories managed by this role include, Mobility Products, Connected Home, IoT, Fixed Line, Accessory and Wearable devices.

As the Buying Assistant you'll.. 

  • Be involved in Commercial negotiations, commercial offer tracking, reporting and management of Coop
  • Coordination of RFI process, including analysis of supplier submissions
  • Undertake constant engagement and relationship building activities
  • Monitoring risks, understanding supplier strategies, culture and values and ensuring the effectiveness of suppliers to align with.

To be successful in the role:

  • Experience in a related work environment in the delivery of commercially focused results, analysis and business insights
  • You will exhibit strong analytical skills with a demonstrated eye for detail and accuracy
  • You are excellent in presenting analytic findings to a non-analytic audience
  • You are known for building strong relationships with stakeholders
  • An ability to build effective working relationships & partnerships with a broad range of people across a variety of parts of the organisation.
