Telstra’s Managed Government Services team is looking for an exceptional Senior Network Engineer to join their team in Canberra.
About the role:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting Telstra and the Managed Government Services team and be engaged in providing complex platform and security services for infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra.
Please note: Candidates must be Australian Citizens. This role requires NV1 clearance and candidates must have a current Baseline clearance at a minimum to be considered.
Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but not limited to:
Performing and/or participating in the designing, building and L3 operational support of platform and customer gateway environments.
Developing network device configurations for deployment
Delivering programs of work, initiate and drive lifecycle activities
Delivering technical documentation and solution designs
Preparing process documentation to describe how networks, infrastructure, products and services operate
Delivering and/or developing technical training, updates & or briefings to staff to ensure understanding of process & procedures
Identifying and initiating continuous improvement.
Providing support to other areas of the business as needed from time to time.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in a similar network engineering role.
Experience in supporting WAN and LAN technologies including: Firewalls, Routing and Switching, WLAN, F5 Load Balancers and Internet Proxy technologies
Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent industry experience.
Relevant Industry Certifications (Cisco, Juniper, F5).
The proven ability to solving problems of various complexities.
Skilled at maintaining stakeholder relationships.
A minimum of a current Baseline clearance to be considered.
