An excellent opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and passionate Defence Assurance Technical Lead to join the Service Assurance Team.
As a Defence Assurance Technical Lead you will play a critical role in leading a tech savvy team to deliver technical solutions across our network, systems or applications by engaging, determining and implementing strategies to meet our customers’ expectations. You will do this by combining your extensive technical expertise along with your strong people skills to lead and develop a high performing team.
Please note all candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold a minimum of NV2 AGSVA security clearance to be considered. This role will require you to hold and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance.
Your key responsibilities and major tasks include, but are not limited to:
Assess problems and generate insights and solutions by working closely with stakeholders to understand their technical needs and support your team to deliver to stakeholder requirements and service level agreements.
Develop and deploy strategies and initiatives to improve the network, systems or applications and their interaction with Telstra processes.
Create and empower a team that thrives on a shared team purpose and clear goals and delivers outcomes that build a great customer experience, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Contribute to work planning activities and identify resourcing requirements over multi-OKR timeframes.
Provide input into strategic objectives within your functional area and make and implement delivery decisions in line with the defined strategic direction.
Provide guidance, coaching and feedback to your team, and manage the full performance cycle to enhance their skills and contributions.
Provide input and support in collaborative problem solving, particularly issues
Identify and manage resourcing and budget requirements, so your team can successfully deliver technical projects within their domain
Take an innovative approach to address complex technical issues, considering the benefits and risks of a range of potential solutions

Strong experience in Juniper Networks
Strong experience with Unified Communication and Mobility in Defence
Proven experience in team training and coaching
Strong technical consultancy skills
Hold a minimum of NV2 AGSVA security clearance.
