My future is constantly evolving
I started my career in the Telstra Graduate Program, where I was able to see different parts of the business and hear from our senior leaders.
This taught me what I needed to do to be successful here, which is to be willing to learn and be open to new opportunities as they arise. Since completing the Program, I’ve been fortunate enough to join a new team or function every couple of years.
The reason I’ve been able to do this, is due to the fact that Telstra is so large and there are many job opportunities available in different areas of the business. So your next vertical or horizontal career move could take you anywhere in Telstra.
With each new role, I’ve been able to learn new skills. This means I’m not a specialist in anything in particular, I’m more of a generalist. I believe this career growth and the opportunity to learn from others has kept me here for so long.
So what is next?
I plan to keep building on what I’ve already achieved here, and continue on my journey as a young leader within the business.
As an Analytics Lead in the BTS Analytics team, I manage a small team and it’s one of the best parts of my job. As a leader, you can really see just how much you can achieve together as a team.
This is reflective across the entire business.
