Providing great service for our customers, and getting it right first time, are the most important parts of my role, which is processing data requests for ISDN services. I also get to coach colleagues and help them work through the more complex work. I’ve been here seven years and love that there’s always room to grow in my role.
We have a good rewards and recognition system, where we can get points to buy things like vouchers. Recently I won an annual award for customer service, which was a welcome reward for a job well done (and the shopping was fun!).
I’d like to follow in my father’s footsteps. He was a very proud Aboriginal elder who worked in the Murri Court and with police to help young people in the community. Through Telstra I’ve been able to take part in many events such as NAIDOC Week, careers expos and Murri Rugby League carnivals. It’s great to be involved in these events and it allows me to network with the community and share my story. I’m looking forward to being more involved in Telstra’s Indigenous programs in the future. How do I feel about my future? Excited.
