My future is leading a team in the digital age
I was working at Pacnet when it was acquired by Telstra in 2014, and since then I’ve seen a whole new world open up. Here in the Philippines, Telstra is investing for the long-term and that makes a big difference to the way I work.
Pacnet was mostly about developing products but now we’re more focused on selling solutions; that gives us more time to develop our understanding of customer needs and build relationships.
This means as Telstra transforms into a world-class technology company that empowers people to connect, I’m able to learn about our new services that will help our customers today and in the future.
I’ve been given the opportunity to explore the digital side of things and am continually introduced to new and exciting technologies such as the cloud. I’ve also learnt what digital transformation and application actually means.
I don’t talk telecommunications anymore, I talk digital.
Besides being given the opportunity to learn more about our digital world, Telstra has invested heavily in my future, particularly when it comes to my leadership skills.
I’ve been invited to attend a number of leadership training sessions and seminars, such as an emerging leader program.
These courses have shown me what I need to do to become an effective leader and how to lead a team in the digital age, here at Telstra.
